Build or buy

If an off-the-shelf tool does most of what you need, we'll usually recommend it and connect it to your other systems. We build when the tool doesn't exist, when you'd be paying for several tools to do one job, or when the way you work is what sets you apart.

How it works

  1. Discovery. We work out what the system needs to do, who uses it and what it's worth to you. You get a fixed price for the first phase.
  2. Phased build. Each phase delivers something your team can use, with its own fixed price.
  3. Testing and handover. Every release is tested and checked by a senior engineer, and you get documentation for everything we build.
  4. Support. We look after it on a monthly plan and add features as the business changes.

Questions

  • You do. The code, hosting and accounts are in your name, and the documentation comes with them.

  • Yes. We start with a short discovery to review what's there, then quote for finishing or fixing it.

  • In phases. Each phase has a fixed price set against what it's worth to you, so you can stop, change direction or carry on at each step.
