Full-stack Product Engineer

Build the apps and dashboards clients run their business on, so the spreadsheet retires and customers stop ringing to ask where things are.

Engineering · Contract · Remote (UK hours)

Hours

24 to 40 hours a week

Start

When a client app or dashboard phase is signed. We are building our contractor bench ahead of client work, so we will not promise volume. Contract to start, with the option to go permanent if it goes well.

What you will do

  • Retire the spreadsheets and re-keying a client's business runs on, with Next.js apps their team opens every day.
  • Build portals where customers book, upload documents and check progress without ringing the office.
  • Turn data from the client's existing systems into live dashboards, with the number that matters at the top.
  • Own each phase from sketch to production: data model, auth, forms, empty states and the paths nobody demos.
  • Ship with code review, tests and staged releases, and keep accessibility, security and Core Web Vitals intact.

Must-haves

  • Recent production Next.js and TypeScript, with a live app you can walk us through.
  • Comfortable owning the data layer: Postgres schemas, migrations on live data and sensible auth.
  • You care about forms, empty states and error messages, the parts people touch every day.
  • You can scope a phase from a non-technical owner's brief without turning it into a deck.
  • You work remotely with dependable overlap on UK hours for calls, reviews and releases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Drizzle or Prisma on Postgres.
  • A taste for quiet, dark interfaces and a design system kept tidy.
  • Charts and reporting a busy owner can read at a glance.
